Help with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Economics

2022.01.28 18:35 3than33 Help with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Economics

I'm an international student enrolled in the bachelor of arts degree and I was planning on doing a double Major in psychology and Economics. Unfortunately, economics has a math pre-requisite that I haven't done (VCE 3/4) and so I've had to take mast 10017 and mast 10012 to unlock my subjects. Oh and, I'm doing 2 summer terms to adhere to the progression rules. it'll be tough but I'm hoping it's worth since I do love both the subjects.
I have a few doubts: 1. is this a good idea? 🤡 (I'm bad at math but I'll have to work hard) 2. my total course points is not adding up to 300? https://course-planner.unimelb.edu.au/B-ARTS/2022/plan/61f4500f3d06f2005044d8c2/ that's an approximate course plan^ 3. What's the job market and average salary for this combination? I have a mountain of education loan to pay back lol. 4. any other interesting major's I could take up that has a good employment? 5. lastly, any personal recommendations or warnings for or against any of the courses? (could be from or outside my majors)
I feel like a goldfish in an ocean and would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks and have a great day :D

2022.01.28 18:35 UChomedey Did they really just close down Uottawa over the truck convoy?

I can't find any online information on it but all the buildings are closed (they usually aren't on Friday). I saw a sign that said "Uottawa will be closed due to the truck convoy". I know word of mouth is not always reliable, but apprently it's because they don't want the protestors to move to Uottawa. Really? That's a deep level of paranoia if that's the case.

2022.01.28 18:35 superthrust Having issues with voice dictation and AirPods on my Apple Watch and iPhone. It worked before, now it’s MUCH different.

Not sure if this has anything to do with anything at all but hoping someone can help me. In the past when using voice dictation on my AirPod pros, my videos on YouTube will continue to play but at a attenuated volume.
When responding to a text while watching a YouTube video, the volume of the video will lower and I will hear the ping notification in my AirPods to start speaking. As soon as I’m done speaking my message, the YouTube audio goes back to normal and my message sends.
However lately, when attempting to do a dictated message reply on my Apple Watch while continuing to watch a video on my iPhone screen, the video and audio going through my AirPods were paused completely. I will still hear the ping notification that my AirPods are awaiting dictation, but the video will pause.
It has never done this before, it is only lowered the video volume while I spoke and then resumed normal volume when I am done. This seems to happen the most when attempting to respond to a message using my watch.
Is something causing this or was this a option that they changed without notifying anyone in a software patch? It’s very frustrating that the function was there and now it is gone.
Can anyone help me with this?

2022.01.28 18:35 According_Ad796 Best way for an American to work in Germany/Europe?

Will be graduating with my bachelor's in a year and a half, I'm wondering what my best options are. I have my sights set on Germany for now, as I am minoring in German. From what I understand, their academics are pretty nice. But I am open to moving anywhere in Europe.
Would it be a better idea to get my PhD overseas, or would it be wiser to do it in the US?
I believe I also have the option of getting a job with a company like BASF which has a site nearby. I was told that I could feasibly be transferred to Germany through this job, though I don't know the liklihood of this, or if it would be a good choice given my desire to go to grad school.
I'd like to hear any advice, or experiences from anyone who's gone through something similar to this. Thanks in advance.

Part Five: SEASON SIX YEEZY, MAKE THIS FLY SHIT LOOK EASY, SEASON SIX YEEZY, FERRARI TRUCKS COME AND BEAT ME, AH

In the last part, we saw Katsuyori Shibata at what may be his lowest point since his Wrestle Kingdom return, as he looked both mentally and physically defeated following a clash with Bryan Danielson in Madison Square Garden over the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship. Now, we see Shibata look to pick up the pieces and hopefully bounce back like he always does.

After said loss to Danielson, we see Shibata try to play it off as if it wasn’t what it truly was at a press conference, as he says that he’s still the Wrestler, and that he’s still one of the best damn wrestlers in the world, let alone New Japan. The press conference culminates in the ultimate challenge being issued, as Shibata uses his G1 Climax draw with the IWGP World Champion to talk his way into a World Title match at the upcoming Wrestle Grand Slam show. Later on in the week, it’s made official. Kazuchika Okada. Katsuyori Shibata. MetLife Dome. The fourth encounter between these two men, but will it finally be Shibata’s night?

Wrestle Grand Slam in MetLife Dome (October 10, 2023)

These are the important matches we see on tonight’s card, with the winners in bold:
Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI vs. The Young Bucks vs. Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb (c) - IWGP Tag Team Championships
Kota Ibushi vs. Will Ospreay (c) - G1 Climax Briefcase
Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Bryan Danielson (c) - IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship
Katsuyori Shibata vs. Kazuchika Okada (c) - IWGP World Championship

Katsuyori Shibata vs. Kazuchika Okada (c) - IWGP World Championship

It’s time for yet another encounter between these two bitter rivals, as the main event of the MetLife Dome’s Wrestle Grand Slam comes around, meaning that it’s time for Kazuchika Okada and Katsuyori Shibata to once again do battle over that highly coveted IWGP World Championship. Both of these men receive heavy pops from the crowd, as they’re super excited to see Okada, but they’re SUPER excited to see Shibata, as they believe that this could possibly be his time to finally defeat Okada and do the one thing he’s sought out to do: claim the IWGP World Championship. The bell rings, and we see the both of these men lock up with each other, AS SHIBATA INSTANTLY GETS THE INSIDE TRIP ON OKADA AND FALL INTO SIDE CONTROL! He wastes no time in going after Okada on the mat, landing knee after knee on his opponent before Okada eventually rolls into a classic wrestling sprawl. Okada grabs at the leg of Shibata from here, attempting to potentially get the sweep into half guard, however Shibata jerks his leg away from Okada, BEFORE RAINING DOWN SHOT AFTER SHOT AFTER SHOT ON THE KIDNEYS OF OKADA!!! He transitions over to back side control now, attempting to hop in back mount now, however Okada prevents this AND MANAGES TO PULL OUT A ROLLING KNEEBAR OUT OF NOWHERE!!! Everybody in the MetLife Dome is shocked by this, including Shibata himself, as he desperately reaches the nearest rope, eventually forcing the break.

The Wrestler is shocked at the fact that he allowed himself to be placed in a submission by Okada, as both men return to their feet and circle each other once more, Shibata officially ready for any and everything. They lock horns once more, grappling for dominance as the two men engage in a brief collar and elbow tie-up before Okada grabs the wristlock. He transitions over into a hammerlock, only for Shibata to go behind Okada now, taking his back via waistlock. After faking an attempted suplex takedown, HE GOES UP HIGH AND WRAPS HIS ARMS AROUND THE NECK OF OKADA, LOOKING FOR THE SLEEPER HOLD!!! Okada quickly tucks the chin, not allowing Shibata to properly lock in the sleeper before turning inwards AND FIRING OFF A SERIES OF BACK ELBOWS TO THE MIDSECTION OF OKADA TO FORCE THE BREAK! Shibata stumbles back now, AND OKADA SPINS AROUND FOR THE DISCUS LARIAT… ONLY FOR SHIBATA TO DUCK UNDER! Now behind Okada, WE SEE SHIBATA BLAST HIM WITH THE QUICK SERIES OF FOREARM SMASHES, BEFORE HITTING THE ROPES FOR THE FOLLOW UP LARIAT ATTEMPT… BUT IT’S OKADA WHO LEAPS UP TO HIS FEET TO FIRE OFF THE HUGE MILLION DOLLAR DROPKICK THAT TAKES SHIBATA DOWN!!! The Wrestler leaps back to his feet now, ONLY FOR OKADA TO PICK HIM UP AND FIRE OFF THE HUGE SNAP DDT, SPIKING SHIBATA’S HEAD STRAIGHT INTO THE GROUND AS OKADA GOES FOR THE COVER… ONE… TWO… BUT SHIBATA GETS THE KICKOUT!!!

Shibata clutches his head, coming down hard on it after the DDT as he feels extremely stunned. Okada uses this to his advantage as one would, hoisting him back up to his feet now BEFORE SLAMMING HIM DOWN WITH THE STRAIGHT JACKET NECKBREAKER! We see Shibata stumble back to his feet now, collapsing into the corner as he desperately tries to regain his senses, BEFORE OKADA KNOCKS HIM LOOPY YET AGAIN WITH THE CORNER CLOTHESLINE! Briefly falling out of the corner, he’s hoisted right back to his feet now, AS OKADA PICKS HIM UP ONTO HIS SHOULDERS FOR THE FIREMAN’S CARRY… ONLY FOR SHIBATA TO SLIP FREE AT THE LAST MOMENT! He stumbles into the ropes now, as Okada turns around to regain control of the match by hurling him into the ropes, LOOKING FOR THE BIG BOOT ON THE REBOUND… BUT SHIBATA DUCKS UNDER!!! And now it’s Shibata who rebounds off the ropes now, LOOKING FOR THE YAKUZA KICK… BUT OKADA DUCKS UNDER AND FIRES OFF THE BRIDGING GERMAN SUPLEX!!! ONE… TWO… BUT SHIBATA KICKS OUT!!! Okada returns to his feet now, BEFORE HITTING THAT RAINMAKER POSE AS HE CALLS FOR THE FINISH!!! Grabbing hold of Shibata, Okada gets the Ripcord… BUT IT’S SHIBATA WITH THE BIG SLAP TO OKADA!!! Now stunned, the Rainmaker finds himself in the clutches of Shibata, WHO FIRES OFF A SERIES OF STIFF SHOOT KICKS BEFORE EVENTUALLY HOISTING HIM UP FOR THE BACKDROP SUPLEX… BUT OKADA LANDS ON HIS FEET!!! Shibata attempts to quickly get back to his feet now, getting on one knee AS OKADA CHARGES AT HIM FOR THE HUGE RUNNING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT!!!

Once again knocked loopy, Shibata attempts to crawl his way into the corner, using the turnbuckle pad to stand himself back up, BUT IT’S OKADA WHO FIRES OFF THE HUGE RUNNING BACK ELBOW!!! Before Shibata can fall out of the corner now, we see Okada shove him right back into the pad BEFORE LETTING LOOSE A VICIOUS KNIFE EDGE CHOP!!! He doesn’t stop there now, as he hoists him up onto the top rope BEFORE LEAPING UP AND LANDING THE HUGE MILLION DOLLAR DROPKICK THAT KNOCKS SHIBATA DOWN TO THE RINGSIDE MAT!!! It takes a moment for Shibata to return to his feet now, however when he does, HE SEES OKADA HITTING THE ROPES BEFORE LEAPING OVER THE TOP ONTO HIM FOR THE SENTON ATOMICO!!! Okada hurls Shibata right back into the ring after that, the MetLife Dome on edge as they desperately pray for a huge comeback for the Wrestler. However it doesn’t seem like that’s going to happen just yet, as Okada ascends up to the top rope for the first time in this match, BEFORE HURLING HIMSELF ONTO THE DOWNED SHIBATA FOR THE HUGE DIVING ELBOW DROP!!! AND OKADA HOOKS THE LEG FOR THE COVER… ONE… TWO… THR-NOOOOOOO!!! SOMEHOW SHIBATA MANAGES TO KICK OUT!!! Once more, Okada hoists Shibata up to his feet now, CALLING FOR THE RAINMAKER AS HE LOOKS TO PUT THINGS TO AN END… BUT IT’S SHIBATA WHO DUCKS THE LARIAT AND GOES BEHIND OKADA TO FIRE OFF THE HUGE SLEEPER SUPLEX, DROPPING THE RAINMAKER STRAIGHT ON HIS NECK AND GIVING SHIBATA A HUGE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE THE COMEBACK!!!

The crowd erupts for Shibata’s surprise Sleeper Suplex, willing the Wrestler to make it back to his feet as he stumbles around for a bit while waiting for the return of Okada. The Rainmaker eventually stumbles onto his feet as well, ONLY TO EAT A HUGE YAKUZA KICK FROM THE CHALLENGER!!! Tumbling over into the corner, Okada is pelted by elbow after elbow after elbow from Shibata, who only takes a break once Okada’s knocked into a seated position SO THAT HE CAN SPRINT TO THE OTHER CORNER BEFORE COMING BACK AT OKADA FOR THE LOW CORNER DROPKICK!!! BUT HE’S NOT DONE JUST YET, AS HE PICKS OKADA BACK UP TO HIS FEET AND FIRES OFF THE HUGE DEATH VALLEY DRIVER INTO THE COVER!!! ONE… TWO… TH-NOOOOOO!!! OKADA MANAGES TO KICK OUT!!! Shibata is completely exhausted at this point, as he takes a moment to recover from the beating that Okada handed out to him over the course of this match. Once he finally gets his breath back, he returns to his feet at the same time as Okada does, AND HE FIRES OFF THE BIG BUZZSAW KICK TO THE KNEELING OKADA TO FURTHER INCAPACITATE THE CHAMPION!!! He hoists him right back to his feet now, firing off a few brutal forearm smashes that nearly knock Okada’s jaw off, BEFORE CALLING FOR THE MUSHA GAESHI… BUT OKADA FIRES OFF THE BACK ELBOWS TO THE SIDE OF SHIBATA’S HEAD, STUNNING THE CHALLENGER ONCE MORE!!! Shibata stumbles into the ropes now, BEFORE CHARGING AT OKADA FOR THE HUGE LARIAT IN ORDER TO TAKE HIM DOWN… BUT OKADA CATCHES HIM AND HOISTS HIM TO HIS FEET FOR THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!!! OKADA HOOKS BOTH LEGS FOR THE COVER NOW… ONE… TWO… THRE-NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! SHIBATA MANAGES TO KICK OUT AND KEEP THIS MATCH ALIVE!!!

Despite getting the kickout, Katsuyori Shibata is in AWFUL shape right now, as he’s been on the receiving end of some of Okada’s worst moves throughout the majority of this match. However, the crowd never gives up hope for the Wrestler, as they give him all of their energy in the hopes of it being enough for him to survive this match. Okada hoists Shibata back up to his feet now, FIRING OFF HIS OWN DEVASTATING FOREARM SMASHES NOW BEFORE BLASTING HIM WITH THE SHORT-ARM LARIAT!!! He knows this won’t be enough to put the Wrestler down however, AS HE HOISTS HIM BACK TO HIS FEET FOR THE RAINMAKER… BUT SHIBATA CATCHES IT AND LANDS THE MUSHA GAESHI!!! Both men stumble back to their feet now, but it’s clear that Shibata’s far out of it now, as he blankly stares into the referee’s eyes for a bit, seemingly trying to remember where the hell he is right now. He manages to snap out of it however, CHARGING AT OKADA FOR THE SPINNING BACKFIST NOW… BUT OKADA DUCKS UNDER AND FIRES OFF THE MILLION DOLLAR DROPKICK TO THE BACK OF SHIBATA’S HEAD!!! Shibata drops like a sack of rotten potatoes, only for Okada to pick his opponent back up now FOR THE SHORT-ARM LARIAT!!! AND HE’S NOT DONE THERE AS HE PICKS HIM UP ONCE MORE NOW FOR THE RAINMAKER… AND IT CONNECTS!!! OKADA HOOKS BOTH LEGS AS HE HOPES FOR THE VICTORY… ONE… TWO… THREE!!! KAZUCHIKA OKADA ONCE AGAIN DEFEATS KATSUYORI SHIBATA, AVENGING THE G1 CLIMAX DRAW!!!

Kazuchika Okada def. Katsuyori Shibata in 27:31 to retain the IWGP World Championship

For the fourth time in a row, Kazuchika Okada is triumphant over the Wrestler, as Shibata lies near-motionless in the ring following his third World Title match loss since returning to New Japan. At this point, it’s obvious that Shibata’s questioning himself, wondering why he returned if he wasn’t physically able to claim the World Title. Dejected, Shibata rolls up the ramp, hanging his head in defeat.

Following the show, Hiroshi Tanahashi holds a press conference as well, as we saw him take a loss to Bryan Danielson mere minutes before Shibata’s entrance. A reporter questions Tanahashi’s role in the company, asking if he’ll take a step back since his role is obviously diminishing. This question severely offends Tanahashi, who says that because of his name alone, he’ll never have to take a step back ever. We also hear a few shots thrown Shibata’s way, as he says that they should be asking that mope these questions instead of him.

After Tanahashi’s press conference, we see an interview from Shibata, as he’s asked about Tanahashi’s comments and how they made him feel. Shibata says that he wants to believe that Tanahashi’s merely in denial, however he’s unsure since every time the two of them have stepped in the ring, it’s ended in a Tanahashi victory. Nevertheless, he wants to fix that, CHALLENGING MR. TOKYO DOME TO A MATCH AT WRESTLE KINGDOM 18!!! The challenge is accepted, and a special singles match is officially set between two of the Three Musketeers.

Wrestle Kingdom 18 - Night 1 (January 4, 2024)

These are the important matches we see on tonight’s card, with the winners in bold:
Katsuyori Shibata vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi - Special Singles Match
Kota Ibushi vs. Bryan Danielson (c) - IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship
Shingo Takagi vs. Will Ospreay (c) - G1 Climax Briefcase

Katsuyori Shibata vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi - Special Singles Match

It’s time for yet another clash between the Three Musketeers, as the Wrestler looks to square off with Mr. Tokyo Dome himself, Hiroshi Tanahashi. The bell rings and we get a brief staredown between these two rivals, before both men circle each other before engaging in a knucklelock. Shibata transitions from the knucklelock into the arm wrench, however Tanahashi attempts the transition into the hammerlock before bringing Shibata down into back sitting position. Already defending against the potential rear naked choke, Shibata grabs Tanahashi’s wrist and spins around into Tanahashi’s guard, before posturing up and freeing the leg to enter half guard. We see him attempt an Arm Triangle choke now… HOWEVER BEFORE HE CAN DO SO, TANAHASHI SWEEPS INTO SHIBATA’S GUARD! BUT THE TWO MEN ROLL INTO THE ROPES! Red Shoes forces the break, taking Tanahashi off of Shibata as the Wrestler returns to his feet. They lock horns again, engaging in a collar and elbow tie-up as they spin around before once again falling into the ropes. Tanahashi’s clearly angry about being forced to break again now… AS HE WINDS UP AND FIRES OFF THE KNIFE EDGE CHOP ONTO SHIBATA’S CHEST!!! The crowd realizes how big of a mistake this had to have been however… AS SHIBATA FIRES OFF THE FLURRY OF ELBOW SMASHES THAT KNOCK TANAHASHI TO THE MAT!!!

Shibata watches as Tanahashi stumbles back to his feet, grabbing the headlock once he stands back up, only for Tanahashi to whip him into the ropes to escape. Now on the rebound, Shibata leaps over Tanahashi, who ducks down and waits for Shibata to come back FOR THE DROPKICK… BUT SHIBATA GRABS TANAHASHI BY THE BOOT AND ATTEMPTS TO LOCK IN THE ANKLE LOCK! Tanahashi crawls behind Shibata however, sweeping the leg and knocking Shibata down to all fours BEFORE PICKING HIM UP FOR THE MAJOR DEADLIFT GERMAN SUPLEX!!! Shibata bounces up to his feet now, clutching the back of his neck as Tanahashi shoots up to his feet AND FIRES OFF THE BIG SLING BLADE TO TAKE SHIBATA DOWN ONCE MORE! As Shibata lays flat on his face, we see Tanahashi kneel on the Wrestler’s neck, before grabbing the far hand and wrenching up at it, torquing the shoulder of Shibata. He’s near helpless in this hold, the Wrestler desperately kicking at the ropes before luckily reaching the bottom with his boot and forcing the break! Tanahashi looks Red Shoes dead in the eyes as he’s told to break from Tanahashi… BUT TANAHASHI ONLY WRENCHES FURTHER AT SHIBATA’S ARM!!! ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR… FI-AND TANAHASHI BREAKS!!! Looking to keep the heat on Shibata now, we see Tanahashi pick him up, GOING FOR THE TWIST AND SHOUT… BUT SHIBATA ROLLS THROUGH AND FIRES OFF THE SPINNING BACKFIST THAT DROPS TANAHASHI LIKE A TON OF BRICKS!!!

Both his head and his arm seem to be giving Shibata grief now, as the German Suplex and that follow-up submission hold seem to have done the intended job for Tanahashi. Nevertheless, he perseveres through the pain, watching Tanahashi as he stumbles up to his feet BEFORE FIRING OFF A SERIES OF DISGUSTING SHOOT KICKS TO THE CHEST OF TANAHASHI! He whips him into the ropes now, BEFORE CAPPING IT OFF WITH A HUGE KITCHEN SINK BEFORE GOING INTO THE COVER! ONE… TWO… BUT TANAHASHI KICKS OUT! He rolls to the outside now, desperate for a break from Shibata’s suffocating offense as he drops to all fours. Shibata follows, picking him up now… ONLY FOR TANAHASHI TO REVEAL THAT HE WAS PLAYING POSSUM BEFORE FIRING OFF THE BIG BACK ELBOW!!! Shibata stumbles back now, AND TANAHASHI PUSHES HIM HEAD FIRST INTO THE HARD RING POST BEFORE HURLING HIM BACK INTO THE RING!!! We see Tanahashi spend a bit more time on the outside however, as he looks under the ring BEFORE GRABBING A TABLE FROM UNDERNEATH! He sets it up now, ONLY FOR SHIBATA TO COME BACK OUTSIDE AND FIRE OFF THE BIG SINGLE LEG DROPKICK TO THE UNSUSPECTING TANAHASHI! We see Shibata take things back into the ring now, as he picks him up FOR THE MUSHA GAESHI NOW… BUT IT’S TANAHASHI WHO LANDS THE BACK ELBOWS TO THE SIDE OF SHIBATA’S HEAD… BEFORE PICKING HIM UP AND DROPPING HIM ON HIS HEAD FOR THE HUGE URANAGE!!!

Tanahashi stumbles to his feet now, watching as Shibata clutches the top of his head and the back of his neck in clear agony. Waiting for his opponent to return to his feet, we see Tanahashi target his chest with a few nasty stiff kicks, before picking him up AND FIRING OFF THE SIT-OUT FISHERMAN SLAM!!! ONE… TWO… BUT SHIBATA KICKS OUT!!! Now it’s Shibata who rolls out, exiting the ring on the side opposite the set-up table, however Tanahashi follows close behind him, PICKING UP SPEED BEFORE EXECUTING THE HUGE SLING BLADE ONTO THE HARD MAT!!! Tanahashi continues the assault on Shibata’s neck, pressing the back of it against the steel barricade as Red Shoes begins to count both of these men out. Once Red Shoes reaches the count of ten, we see Tanahashi hurl Shibata back in, BEFORE HOISTING HIM UP AND LANDING THE BRIDGING DRAGON SUPLEX!!! ONE… TWO… BUT SHIBATA POWERS OUT OF IT!!! We see Tanahashi pick Shibata back up now, HURLING HIM OUT OF THE RING ONCE MORE! Shibata uses the set-up table to try and hoist himself back to his feet, however Tanahashi bashes his head off of it to incapacitate the Wrestler, BEFORE PICKING HIM UP FOR THE TWIST AND SHOUT ONTO THE COLD HARD MAT!!! He tosses Shibata onto the table now, CLIMBING ONTO THE APRON NOW… FOR THE HUGE SOMERSAULT SENTON BOMB THAT PUTS SHIBATA THROUGH THAT TOUGH JAPANESE TABLE!!!

Briefly clutching his back now, Tanahashi hurls Shibata back into the ring, as he looks to capitalize off of what he just put his opponent through. However, ever the warrior, Shibata ends up stumbling to his feet, though it’s clear that he doesn’t really know where he’s at. After seeing this, Tanahashi heads up to the top rope, LETTING LOOSE A HUGE HIGH FLY FLOW TO THE STANDING SHIBATA!!! AND TANAHASHI HOOKS THE LEG… ONE… TWO… THR-NOOOOOOOOO!!! SHIBATA MANAGES TO KICK OUT!!! Tanahashi wastes absolutely zero time now, hoisting Shibata back up to his feet AS HE CALLS FOR THE DRAGON SLEEPER… BUT SHIBATA BREAKS FREE AND FIRES OFF A SHORT-RANGE LARIAT TO FREE HIMSELF!!! Both men stumble back to their feet now, AS SHIBATA ATTEMPTS THE GERMAN SUPLEX… ONLY FOR TANAHASHI TO BREAK FREE AND GO BEHIND SHIBATA!!! And now it’s Tanahashi with the Full Nelson, AS HE CALLS FOR YET ANOTHER DRAGON SUPLEX… BUT SHIBATA MANAGES TO FREE HIMSELF… ONLY FOR TANAHASHI TO TRANSITION INTO THE BRIDGING STRAIGHT JACKET GERMAN SUPLEX!!! ONE… TWO… TH-NOOOO!!! SHIBATA POWERS OUT OF IT!!! Swiftly rolling into the corner now, we see Tanahashi head up to the top rope as Shibata lays in the ring, clearly out of it. Tanahashi stands up straight now… BEFORE TAKING FLIGHT FOR THE HIGH FLY FLOW… AND IT HITS!!! TANAHASHI HOOKS BOTH LEGS FOR THE COVER, THIS COULD BE IT!!! ONE… TWO… THRE-NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! SOMEHOW, KATSUYORI SHIBATA FINDS THE STRENGTH IN HIM TO KICK OUT!!!

Tanahashi is clearly frustrated in Shibata’s kickout, as he picks him back up to his feet, BEFORE FLOORING HIM WITH A HUGE KNIFE EDGE CHOP! He drags him into the corner now, before heading up to the middle rope AND ATTEMPTING THAT SOMERSAULT SENTON BOMB… BUT SHIBATA SOMEHOW MANAGES TO ROLL INTO THE CORNER! Tanahashi clutches his back as Shibata uses the corner to regain his footing now, EVENTUALLY CHARGING AT SHIBATA FOR THE STINGER SPLASH NOW… BUT SHIBATA DARTS OUT OF THE CORNER! Still on wobbly legs, Shibata ends up stumbling into Tanahashi, WHO ATTEMPTS THE GERMAN SUPLEX NOW… BUT SHIBATA BREAKS FREE AND LANDS THE SHORT-ARM LARIAT THAT KNOCKS THE BOTH OF THEM DOWN!!! Shibata uses the ropes to stand himself back up now as Tanahashi stumbles to his feet, both men a bit out of it now AS SHIBATA FLIES AT TANAHASHI FOR THE YAKUZA KICK… BUT TANAHASHI DODGES IT!!! And now it’s Tanahashi who attempts to charge at Shibata… ONLY TO RUN STRAIGHT INTO A DROPKICK FROM SHIBATA!!! Shibata rises back to his feet now, all of the Tokyo Dome willing him on as he grabs Shibata, tossing him into the corner AND LETTING LOOSE A MAJOR FLURRY OF CORNER FOREARM SMASHES BEFORE BACKING UP AND CHARGING FOR THE HUGE CORNER YAKUZA KICK!!! Tanahashi collapses to the mat as Shibata stumbles around for a bit… BEFORE EVENTUALLY COLLAPSING HIMSELF!!!

Both men are down here, as Red Shoes begins to count both of these men out. Eventually, Shibata shows signs of life, as he returns to his feet and picks up Tanahashi FOR THE USHIGOROSHI!!! AND SHIBATA COVERS TO TAKE THE MATCH… ONE… TWO… THR-NOOOOOO!!! TANAHASHI KICKS OUT!!! Quickly sitting Tanahashi up now, SHIBATA HITS THE ROPES HARD FOR THE PENALTY KICK ATTEMPT… ONLY FOR TANAHASHI TO ROLL OUT OF THE WAY!!! Mr. Tokyo Dome stumbles to his feet now, BEFORE LEAPING FOR THE VICTORY ROLL… ONE… TWO… THRE-NOOOOOOOOO!!! IT’S SHIBATA WITH THE KICKOUT!!! Both men jet back to their feet now… AND IT’S TANAHAHSI WITH THE HUGE STANDING ENZUIGIRI INTO THE RUNNING INSIDE CRADLE… ONE… TWO… THRE-NOOOOOOO!!! YET ANOTHER MAJOR KICKOUT FROM SHIBATA HERE!!! They both get back to their feet again, albeit way slower than before, as Tanahashi quickly attempts the Twist and Shout… ONLY FOR SHIBATA TO ROLL THROUGH AND STEP OVER TANAHASHI TO LOCK IN THE SLEEPER HOLD!!! Immediately we see Tanahashi reach for the ropes, AS HE DESPERATELY LOOKS TO GRAB THE TOP ROPE AND FORCE THE BREAK… AND HE DOES!!! BUT SHIBATA SLAPS THE ARM DOWN AND FIRES OFF THE HUGE SLEEPER SUPLEX BEFORE GOING FOR THE COVER!!! ONE… TWO… THR-NOOOOO!!! TANAHASHI KICKS OUT!!!

Breathing heavily, Shibata stumbles back to his feet now, letting out a major battle cry before hoisting Shibata up to his feet FOR THE MUSHA GAESHI!!! He sits Tanahashi up now, HITTING THE ROPES FOR THE PENALTY KICK… BUT TANAHASHI DUCKS UNDER TO COUNTER!!! AND NOW IT’S TANAHASHI WHO LEAPS BACK TO HIS FEET FOR THE DRAGON SUPLEX… BUT SHIBATA BREAKS FREE AND ATTEMPTS THE HUGE LARIAT… BUT TANAHASHI DUCKS UNDER AND LANDS THE NASTY FOREARM SMASH INTO THE TWIST AND SHOUT!!! Shibata stumbles back up to his feet now, WALKING INTO THE HUGE STYLES CLASH BY TANAHASHI!!! ONE… TWO… THRE-NOOOOOOOO!!! SHIBATA MANAGES TO KICK OUT!!! Taking a moment to recover, we see Tanahashi stumble into the corner now, BEFORE SCALING UP TO THE TOP ROPE FOR THE HIGH FLY FLOW… BUT SHIBATA MANAGES TO GET THE KNEES UP FOR THE COUNTER!!! Both men stumble back to their feet now… BEFORE SHIBATA FIRES OFF THE HUGE ROUNDHOUSE KICK THAT NEARLY KNOCKS TANAHASHI TO THE MAT!!! Before Tanahashi can collapse however, Shibata grabs Tanahashi, PICKING HIM UP ONTO HIS SHOULDERS FOR THE FIREMAN’S CARRY… AND HE LANDS THE GO 2 SLEEP!!! He’s not done there however, as he hits the ropes AND COMES FLYING AT TANAHASHI FOR THE PENALTY KICK!!! SHIBATA TRIUMPHANTLY HOOKS BOTH LEGS… ONE… TWO… THREE!!! SHIBATA FINALLY DEFEATS TANAHASHI!!!

Katsuyori Shibata def. Hiroshi Tanahashi in 24:55

SHIBATA HAS DONE IT! Finally, he has conquered the Once in a Century Talent, Hiroshi Tanahashi! Feeling accomplished after the match, it seems like Shibata may have gotten his mojo back, Once Tanahashi makes his way back to his feet, we see both men stare each other down, as Tanahashi gives a slow nod before storming away. What could this mean for the future of Hiroshi Tanahashi however?

Just a thought I had earlier: ive never been able to voluntarily get myself to burp like all the other kids around me could growing up, wondering if anyone else has noticed this too and if it’s a symptom of PE
